It is our pleasure to introduce one of our charming lady speakers who will bring us one step closer to an independent living style: Rositsa Uzunska.
Rosi is a digital nomad who needs only a laptop, a backpack and wi-fi to manage the successful company she co-founded while traveling the world. She believes in win-win scenarios where work-life balance can be easily sustained, and where living costs can be cut while simultaneously achieving a better life. Rositsa will share her experience with remote work, how to afford a nomadic lifestyle and inspire you to take the plunge into location independence.

Who are you?
I’m Rosi and I’m a dreamer and a doer.
Why did you decide to join the speaker’s lineup of LibertyBits conference?
I am enjoying this crazy wonderful life of going wherever I want, whenever I want and everyone I meet says I’m very lucky. The truth is, luck has almost nothing to do with it. It’s the courage that counts – to believe you can do better. And the realisation that it’s easier than you ever imagined. That’s why I try to speak to as much people as possible, showing them how easy it is to be location independent. And hopefully, they will find the courage to make it happen for themselves.
What is your understanding of “liberty” (freedom) and what are the most underestimated threats to our modern society?
Liberty for me is to be able to chose whatever, whenever, and then to be able to change your mind. We are not of permanent nature, instead, we constantly change – not only our bodies, but our minds, emotions and desires. However, we are taught that we must follow one path and never deviate from it. Every deviation is considered a failure. But for me building a life that doesn’t allow you to change your mind and switch things around is the real failure most of us face.
What is the most fascinating or inspiring thing about the independent living?
The most fascinating aspect of independent living is how easily achievable it actually is, compared to the typical 9 to 5 corporate life + bank loans + boredom. Once you’re on the other side, you can’t believe you’ve ever been able to live stagnantly.
What risks should a person take into consideration to be able to live independently?
Location independence is not for everyone. So you might not like it. Just try it. And don’t mind all the people that say you’re making a mistake. You’re trying to overcome your social conditioning, so why listen to the social conditioning of others?
What are your expectations from the conference?
My goal is to inspire at least one person to try the digital nomad / location independence lifestyle. And, in turn, to meet people that inspire me to go out of my comfort zone in some other way.
