Who are you?
I am the founder of BlockChain.bg, early cryptocurrency investor, previously co-founder of Tavex Gold&Exchange interested in the future of money and evolutionary psychology.
Why did you decide to join the speaker’s list of LibertyBits conference?
I like the general theme of the conference. I am a proponent of personal liberty and the free market, so everything in this area is interesting to me. I am glad that a lot more people in Bulgaria also care about individual freedom nowadays.
What is your understanding of “liberty” (freedom) and what are the most underestimated threats to our modern society?
As people grow emotionally they desire more personal freedom and also become more responsible. This is a natural psychological development of the collective human race. At the moment a lot of people are stuck somewhere between being a child and being a fully responsible adult and thus they prefer to be taken care of by the state mother (government). Fortunately, this development is changing all over the world and even a traditionally repressed and inert nations like Bulgaria develop a healthy community of entrepreneurs, libertarians, and independent thinkers.
What is the fascinating (the most inspiring) thing about blockchain for you?
It allows the creation of censorship-resistant, decentralized services like money, which will serve a much better job than government based services.
What could be the biggest benefit from the blockchain technology for us as a society?
Having a free market monetary system. This is way more fundamental and important for our civilization than any other blockchain application.
What are your expectations for the conference?
I hope a good crowd of curious and intelligent people gets together for a productive discussion on important topics. Thanks 😉
