Speaker’s Showcase: 6 Q&A with Vassil Kostov

We are only 5 days and 2 interviews away from the pilot edition of #LibertyBits.

Remember the interview with Evgenia Gancheva, our #blockchain + #law speaker, from last week? Sure you do! How could someone possibly forget about Jenny! Now we are pleased to introduce her partner Vassil Kostov. Both in a tandem will present their insights about Blockchain and Legal ®evolution.

Vassil is a Legal consultant at 1Legal.Net and a Blockchain law explorer, techno enthusiast, social networks maniac, crypto legal issues investigator, media content contributor. He is a specialist in administrative law and intellectual property protection and has a solid expertise in technology law. Vassil has special interests in the legalframework of ICO projects. He believes that legal issues cannot be reduced to black or white.

Who are you?

My name is Vassil Kostov and I am a part of the 1Legal.net team, where we share the idea that the Internet is a place where creativity meets innovative spirit. As a young person in the legal sphere, as well as a technology and social media enthusiast, I believe that innovation has a very special place in the area of law. That is why I believe that blockchain is the Pandora box full of endless possibilities which are yet to be revealed and put to real use.

Why did you decide to join the speaker’s list of LibertyBits conference?

I believe that being part of a community is vital. In order to unravel the potential of the blockchain technology and to make a breakthrough, there must be as much initiative and interaction between community members as possible. Bearing this in mind,  taking part in the LibertyBits conference for me is a great opportunity to share ideas and opinions with other blockchain enthusiasts as well as to help unravel the mystery around crypto technology.

What is your understanding of “liberty” (freedom) and what are the most underestimated threats to our modern society?

For me, blockchain is the perfect representation of liberty. Having the freedom to create something new and groundbreaking, to change people’s mindsets, to help others by making their lives easier and to transform whole industries by making them more accessible – this is liberty.

What is the fascinating (the most inspiring) thing about blockchain for you?

The most inspiring thing about blockchain to me is that it can be implemented in a wide variety of businesses and industries, even in state affairs and procedures. The way business is carried out as we know today is getting old, slow and ineffective. This is where the blockchain comes in – to rationalize things so that they meet the standards of the 21st century.

What could be the biggest benefit from the blockchain technology for us as a society?

Nowadays we rely too much on intermediaries and middlemen to carry out certain activities which could easily be done without their assistance – only with the help of technology. Now that this technology is available it is the best time to simplify our lives and eliminate all the obstacles that prevent innovators from achieving their goals easier and faster.

What are your expectations for the conference?

I am convinced that the LibertyBits conference will bring together some great minds from all sorts of spheres and thus form a powerhouse of knowledge. This very knowledge is to be distributed and made accessible for all people so that we lift the curtain together. That is exactly what LibertyBits is going to do, which is why I am honoured to be a part of the conference.

Many thanks, Vassil! A very wise young man we’ve got here without any doubt! We are optimistic about the future with such intelligent, open-minded and knowledge seeking young people on our side.
