WHO ARE YOU?
A blockchain enthusiast and Product Development Manager at Neterra – a pioneering telecom company and one of the first alternative Internet providers in Bulgaria. For the past 10 years I was working on various telco projects at Neterra, and now I am in charge of the latest data center service – Basic Colocation.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE SPEAKERS’ LIST OF LIBERTYBITS CONFERENCE?
I believe in blockchain technologies and the opportunities they create to avoid and correct bad business practices and they balance out the concentration of power and money in only a few bigger players.
WHAT IS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF “LIBERTY” (FREEDOM) AND WHAT ARE THE MOST UNDERESTIMATED THREATS TO OUR MODERN SOCIETY?
Liberty for me means to have a choice, information, the right to express yourself freely, the freedom of speech, without violating someone else’s right.
Stephen Hawking has once said: “The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge”. In this regard, a threat to the modern world is the use of knowledge or the use of the new technology in order to create the illusion of knowledge.
WHAT IS THE FASCINATING (MOST INSPIRING) THING ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN FOR YOU?
It changes the world, just like the Internet did.
WHAT COULD BE THE BIGGEST BENEFIT FROM THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY FOR US AS A SOCIETY?
Security and freedom. It prevents the information manipulation.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR THE CONFERENCE?
To meet new people who are truly passionate about the blockchain, privacy, and off-grid innovations. To hear others’ stories and to learn new ways to implement those relatively new ideas and technologies.
